The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf (2021)

Wow, that was something. It was beautiful. For a while now, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the Witcher series. I used to love it. I didn’t go on to read the whole series of books for nothing. Watching this, reminded me of how I felt back when I first discovered the series with the TV series. Plus, it’s an anime! What more could you even ask for? Just like Star Wars, the Witcher is primarily based on an action fantasy setting....

The Last Samurai (2003)

I don’t watch western movies often. My entire entertainment diet these days is taken up by Japanese media. More specifically anime. This has been the case since I started my journey into anime back in late 2020. Ever since I got a taste. I haven’t been able to stop. As if the whole medium was made for me. I feel right at home with the stories being told. Compared to just a couple of years ago....

Nothingness

I have found nothing No potent spasm of truth’s hue No certainty in depths of visible divinity I have no enlightenment No scar laid barely on slopes of thought No ignition electrifying the libraries of cognition I have discovered no principle No strings of rules hardened in stone No temple where reason stands helpful I have no letter No filament of Hermes to guide my path No key deciphering the chains of reality...

A Pardon for Punishment

The criminal justice system is a part of the government some cannot live with and some cannot live without. The former usually belongs to whom people usually refer to as criminals. One of the worst punishments a human being could have in the twenty-first century is executed mostly behind closed doors, with a minimum number of witnesses. But it hasn’t always been as such. Compared to the last few centuries, the penal system of our time is the most closed it has ever been....

Calculated Chaos

The beauty of some gardens lie on the calculated chaos it perfects. Plant growth is substantially unpredictable making it utterly chaotic for the human eye. The beauty of a garden exists in the placement and manipulation of these plants. Which needs calculation to achieve so as to make it possible to capture the chaotic nature of plants into the domain of artistry. This inturn is a manipulation of chaos as per a calculated basis....

Frozen II (2019)

The more I think about it. The more I wonder. Can anything be enough. Should anything be enough. How can you define the feeling of satisfaction as satisfactory. Considering that, the engulfing satisfactory feeling is the reason we yearn for it when we are lacking it. If it did not exist, why would we search nor try so hard to get it nevertheless. The feeling of being in a world soo, perfect and feeling the best you can feel which also knowing deep down that it is never infinite nor perfect....

Productivity

Everyone wants productivity. And you know what they want out of it. Satisfaction. Pleasure. A meaning. They know that they could very likely not achieve it. But they keep hope. They push on. They fight for their own cause. And say, they reach satisfaction. So what out if it. Pleasure, yes, but then what. What can come out of it. You can get that same experience with just a few grams of ecstasy....

Remember This

Every moment you’ve spent breathing was a deceit. Every sensation of freedom you felt was a deceit. You are only but a playground of the mind. A faint perception to ensure progress. An illustration of nature, bound to reality. The reality of one’s own truth. No matter your strengths nor weaknesses, you cannot fly. No matter your anguish nor hope, you cannot fly. You’ve flown only but the illusion of flight....

What's the Point?

The fact that there is no downside to death is an upside infinitely greater than any that life has to offer. A dead man misses out on nothing. Unbeknownst to him, his family and friends may mourn, but while a man alive would take sorrow in this, a dead man sees nothing and feels nothing, instigated, itself, by his own nothingness. Simply put, he has no perspective on life; he, having transcended into a different dimension completely (so to speak), feels nothing....

The Final Question

The question of existence is a question that many of whom who have had a period of emotional turmoil, depression or a very uncontrollable mind have very much likely asked. These types of questions are not only present for the melodramatic but for the intensely curious as well. First of all, we all know from within that we exist, but is it really true that we exist, how can we ever precisely know that we exist?...
